With over 26 years of service to Indian Country, including 16 years as an HR management executive, Christopher Orozco brings a transformative perspective driven by a profound belief: HR is a social force essential to the health and sovereignty of Tribal Nations.
As a Raving Partner and the founder of Create Leadership Co., Christopher serves Tribal Nations, from government programs to commercial gaming enterprises, with a passion for creating better lives through better workplaces. He began his career as a frontline employee in the Tribal casino and hospitality industry, and he is dedicated to understanding the lived experiences of employees, ensuring that high-level strategy is aligned with the realities of the people who interact with guests every day. He is passionate about serving others by partnering with leaders to build cultures that prioritize well-being and create innovative solutions.
Christopher’s passion for creating opportunity for others is deeply personal. As a first-generation college student, he understands the transformative impact of education and mentorship. Alongside his consulting work, he is an instructor in higher education, dedicated to serving students as they pursue their goals and dreams. As a certified executive coach, he is committed to helping others discover and create new possibilities through their unique potential, strengths, and talents. He is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, has been certified as an executive coach by the Center for Executive Coaching, and has received the Multi-Health Systems EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 certification.
Christopher holds a Master of Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino, and is a certified Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP). He is passionate about using his voice for change and advocacy on behalf of a people-first approach, and has been a speaker at Tribal industry conferences. He has also been a contributor to Indian Gaming Magazine and TribalHub Magazine.
Above all, Christopher’s most important title is “proud daddy” to his son Matthew and daughter Amelia. He is driven by a personal responsibility to serve others well, creating a world where work is a source of pride, purpose, and stability for every family throughout Indian Country and beyond.
