About Raving
What Makes Us Unique?
Who we are. Raving is a Native-owned, women-led professional development and media group serving the gaming and hospitality industries. For nearly three decades, Raving has partnered with over 198 Tribal Nations and enterprises and 93 Commercial properties along with First Nations throughout Canada and Asia. Our commitment to Indian Country creates the foundation of our Raving philosophy to enrich the lives of those we serve.
Raving speaks gaming. Our team of over 20 strategic partners has spent years on the casino floor and in executive roles. We understand every facet of a gaming and resort operation – along with the challenges, opportunities, and “sticky situations” that come with it.
We pride ourselves on customized, evidence-based programs that get to the root of the issue, improve operational performance, grow revenues and create lasting solutions using research, analytics and technology.
Our Passion. We believe that continuous professional development is the foundation for creating resilient, innovative, and successful organizations and individuals. By investing in learning at every level – from frontline team members to senior leadership – we build stronger operations, empower people to lead with confidence, and ensure our industry thrives for a sustainable future.
Why We Do What We Do. As a leader in Indian gaming, we work alongside our team, industry, and partners to build stronger operators, leaders, and community members.. We deeply care about developing talent – Tribal members and committed team members alike – to strengthen organizations and communities for generations to come.
A voice and resource for the industry.
Our media arm, Tribal Gaming & Hospitality Magazine, reaches a targeted audience of decision-makers through digital editions, weekly newsletters, benchmarking surveys, roundtables, webinars, and video interviews. The TG&H advisory board is comprised of respected leaders in gaming, hospitality and Tribal governance. We’ve been an active associate member of the National Indian Gaming Association since 2002, as well as OIGA, WIGA, AIGA and CNIGA.
Looking to the future.
As thought leaders for gaming and hospitality, Raving shares our wealth of experience through our Raving NEXT: Casino Strategy & Operations Summit, Casino Marketing & Technology Conference and Host Player Development Conference. We offer insights, news and video interviews through our quarterly magazine, Tribal Gaming & Hospitality, in addition to numerous bench-marking surveys, roundtable discussions, webinars, plus presenting and participating at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Expo (IGA), Global Gaming Expo (G2E) and other industry events.
The power of shared knowledge.
Through our 360° Professional Development Programs, teams are empowered to implement lasting change. Our training has reached thousands of casino team members – from executives to frontline teams – and, through our strategic alliance with University of Phoenix, participants can earn prior learning assessment credits. We are proud to be a Lean Six Sigma-trained organization, focused on delivering measurable performance.
Raving Ownership — Meet Deana and Brady Scott
Raving was incorporated in 1998 and quickly established itself as the leader in results-driven strategic marketing and guest service training. Our CEO, Deana Scott, along with her husband Brady Scott, an enrolled Coquille Tribal member, purchased Raving from gaming industry veteran and company founder, Dennis Conrad, on October 1, 2017.
Deana’s relationship with Raving began nearly twenty years ago as a repeat client, eventually joining the team as a consultant, prior to purchasing the company. With her vast marketing and operations background in the casino industry, Deana has expanded Raving’s reach and expertise to assist casinos in today’s ultra-competitive and technology-driven environment.
Tribal Gaming Experience & Native American Preference
As an active Associate Member of the National Indian Gaming Association (IGA) since 2002, we’ve conducted workshops annually on their behalf. Raving and its partners are also active supporters and requested speakers of the many regional Indian Gaming tradeshows, including National Native American Human Resources Association (NNHARA), Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA), and Washington Indian Gaming Association (WIGA).
We believe in the spirit of giving and the importance of creating a positive impact on future generations. Through our partnership with the Notah Begay III Foundation, we are committed to using our relationships in gaming to raise funds and awareness for their critically important work ensuring Native children achieve their full potential by advancing cultures of Native American community health.
