Director of Events and Conferences, Raving
Tribal Gaming & Hospitality Magazine
Since childhood, Chris has been influenced and encouraged to put pen to paper by a family of great storytellers and writers including her grandma Tressy who played the “Mississippi saxophone” and lost her horse to the Spanish American War as well as her mom Maggie and her three uncles who experienced the Great Depression and all served in different theaters in WWII. With a genuine interest in others, she’s had a lifelong passion for words and conversation. This makes her an authentic interviewer and author in her role as Executive Editor for Tribal Gaming & Hospitality Magazine.
Chris started with Raving in 2001 and spent two decades expressing the company’s unique voice as Raving’s VP of Marketing through 2021 – writing and editing millions of words for the gaming and hospitality industry. She remains Raving’s consultant of record for marketing and copywriting services.
The consummate relationship builder, Chris refined her organizational and operational skills before joining Raving, with nine years of senior management in the recreation and publishing industries.
She attended California State University Hayward, majoring in business, and while there she received invaluable experience as the President of the American Marketing Association’s Collegiate Chapter (meaning she knows how to throw a great party and get people to attend).
When she’s off work, you’ll find her outside – camping in her vintage trailer, paddle boarding or experimenting in her flower, herb and vegetable garden.
