Recognizing organizations that give back
Four years ago, Raving began an industry movement, to recognize those Tribal organizations that give back to their communities. We ask you to share those special events, those acts of generosity, those good works outside of your job description that have improved the lives of your community. Because the more we hear about people helping people, the energy spreads.
Below are 35 stories of how Tribal organizations gave back to their communities in 2018. From these stories alone, over $5 million dollars were raised for communities and non-profits! Of course, not all fundraisers aim to raise money – many of the stories shared were about preparing meals, providing shelters, and creating awareness.
People's Choice Award and Celebratory Luncheon
We recognize all the casinos who participated and shared their story at a special luncheon at Raving NEXT. In 2018, nearly 600 individual votes were cast fo the People's Choice Award. From these results, the five entries with the most votes are entered into a drawing to win up to $500 donated to their charity of their choice. The other four entries will each get $250, again, donated to their charity of choice. Drum roll please ..... the top five entries for the People's Choice Awards are:

- Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Tackles Breast Cancer
- Soboba Foundation Lip Sync Competition
- Angel of the Winds Annual Food Drive
